Generation 1, Part II: And Baby Makes Three

I mentioned before that, upon creating this neighorbood(and subhoods), I used DAC… which rids of the ever-present Marissa Bendett and the Living Schnoze, Benjamin long and their ilk. Sorry, but I was sick of seeing them by the time I moved to my third hood. Anyway, it seems to have created an odd occurence that has never happened before. I have twin townies and downtownies. Mostly downtownies, though… I think. Either way, they’re the exact template, but with different aspirations/etc.
It was especially odd when Holly Lex brought home with her one Diane Wong… her long lost twin. Unfortunately, they didn’t get on very well. They picked and fought quite a bit. Maybe it was the whole “longing for individuality” or something. I don’t know, but I found it ridiculously amusing… until I couldn’t tell them apart.

Finally, it was time for the teenage years. Hooray! She can neglect her homework and I don’t have to worry about the Social Services stepping in. I didn’t plan on sending Star to Uni from day one. I am fed up with Uni and I know it’ll hamper my ability to get career rewards and whatnot, but I’ll make up for that in the next generation. I want to keep the challenge fun for me and Uni is totally unfun. How amusing that I think the same about my own classes. Blegh!
Star rolled Romance. Okay, fine… that’s doable. I shrink down the panels and switch over to her for a much needed make-over. Of course, I didn’t check then… but I know now, since she’s my current TH, that her LTW is… 20 Simultaneous lovers. Yeeeah, not happening, sorry sweetie. I have yet to fulfill that. When I got close, my neighborhood exploded! I guess it was just too much pixelated lovin’ for the poor town to handle.

The family settled into a nice little state of domestic bliss. It was cute. I didn’t have any problems with them… no fires, burnt food, none of that. Everyone was pretty self-sustaining. It wasn’t until poor Star’s aspiration started to dip, due to lack of lovin, that I had issues.
I was also rushing to get Chastity as many skills as I could. I don’t know where my brain was… I was caught up in the gameplay and completely forgot about her LTW. So she didn’t sleep for the rest of her days as an adult. I’m no good with Knowledge sims, despite the fact that getting skills seems so easy when I read other’s blogs. Maxing skills as a teen?! Madness! I prefer Fortune sims. I hope I get one of those next… I’m going to try and keep doubling up Aspirations for couples. Works nicely, I can sort of anticipate their wants during dates… which is how I kept Holly in platinum.

Yuck, sick Sims! I only had Sims get sick once in my ISBI challenge, the torch holder and her father. I just had the torch holder relax on the bed and invite her father to join, and kept that up until she was better, her father died of old age before he was cured though.
