Generation 1, Part II: And Baby Makes Three
By the time Chastity became an elder, she had most of her skills maxed. Unfortunately, she only had two days before Star took the helm and it just wasn’t enough time. She still needs to max body and cleaning, I believe. Maybe mechanical, too. I’m not sure… hopefully I can get those rewards within two weeks of sim time… because I’m anticipating that’s all the longer Chastity will last.
Unfortunately, Holly’s promotions also got stopped. I think she is one step away from Mad Scientist, she just needs the skills. It’s probably cleaning that’s hanging her up, so I keep having her clean the house. Once she is in perma-plat, I can rest easy.
Of course, some idiot townie decided kicking over the trashbin was a fantastic idea. Curses!! Roaches everywhere and Chastity was at work. Of course, being the mindless sims they are, Holly and Star insisted on going “ewww!” and stomping on them, ending up with the flu. So the flu ran rampant through the house and eventually hit Chastity. In an effort to stop the infestation, I had Chastity make some medicine…
I don’t have a screenshot of the first and very botched attempt. I was too shocked. I have never, ever encountered the “mysterious illness” before. Only one time in my entire Sims 2 playing time has anyone ever botched medicine… and that was Elmer Zamora from my legacy family. I never got a pop up or anything for him like I did with Chastity though. Great. Of course, Holly chose that moment to come out and give her a big old smack on the lips.
So the last two days were filled with coughing and hacking. Poor Star found herself getting a little too intimate with her food several times. Holly refused to sleep and get better. Did someone tell her coffee cures illnesses? Despite their attempts to avoid it, they eventually were cured. I was so relieved when I started seeing the pop ups. Afterwards, I deleted the stupid lab reward. Useless anyway… telescope is much better.
Unfortunately, the damage had already been done. Chastity was in no state to study and couldn’t finish off her skills… so she handed over the torch. I’m hoping I can churn some rewards out of Star and get that LTW fulfilled. Probably not, but at least I can try. Cursed Knowledge sims…
At least Star is constantly throwing tantrums anymore. Poor girl, her aspiration was very, very low.
Yuck, sick Sims! I only had Sims get sick once in my ISBI challenge, the torch holder and her father. I just had the torch holder relax on the bed and invite her father to join, and kept that up until she was better, her father died of old age before he was cured though.
