Generation 3, Part I: The Buggy Professor

Without my incredibly wisened hand to guide her, Star fell into sim idiocy. Thankfully, she was mostly platinum due to almost constant interactions with Brooke. I put them on the same career path and they were both Celebrity Chefs… so no social depletion for them!
I know you can delete the stones/urns and rid of the ghosts forever… but I haven’t had ghosts since my completed Legacy family. Nightlife spoiled me with it’s graveyards and whatnot. So I miss them and I am also hoping something spontaneous happens. Oh, and Luther and Adriana love them… Luther constantly wants to see someone’s ghost and gets to on an almost nightly basis. Adriana gets points for seeing ghosts, so no aspiration failure for her!

However, the game wasn’t about to let me have it easy. For some reason, Adriana was bugged and horribly so. Luther couldn’t interact with her at all. It was a miracle when I managed to get her to the cooking machine. Her LTW is Mad Scientist, so she needs cooking skills. Anytime he attempted to interact with her, it would instantly drop from queue. She’d go to work, but when she came back, she’d pop into the house. No money, no notification, nothing. So, after trying to fix her with both boolprop and insimenator… I figured it must be a hack conflict.
So I removed Inteen… and then reset her with insimenator. Problem solved. I forced her into the regular work car pool as opposed to the sports car… and that fixed that. I also used the options on J.M. Pescado’s Lot Debugger, as well. So she’s relatively bug free now. No clue why Inteen would interfere with professors… but it’s for the best. I don’t need female NTH’s having miscarriages because they’re too stupid to eat!

I was really happy that both Star and Brooke were mainly self-sufficient. Making sure they had the same schedule ensured they’d always be around to keep one another company. Which is great, because I don’t need social distressing elders chasing after Luther and Adriana. Especially since Star and Adriana didn’t hit it off too well. Negative relationship signs all around!
Anytime the elderly couple interacted, I’d see they were gaining aspiration points. So they had a lot of kiss, hug, etc wants. Cute. Romance sims aren’t so bad after all… especially in situations like this! They can please themselves, heh.

I just discovered your blog and I love your style of picture-taking! Looks like you’re having a lot of fun and frustration with the challenge as well!
