Generation 4, Part II: Return of the Lex(es)

Note: The image quality is crap-tastic in this post because I didn’t get a chance to reconfigure my settings on Adobe or PSP X and all the screens were saved in lowest quality–ech. I’ve already uploaded them, though. Next batch will be full-on, in yo face beautifultastic… hopefully.

Finally, we’re back! As you can see, I got lucky once again–another purple TH! This time it’s a female and her name is Faith. Seeing as this was a month ago and I really haven’t gotten a chance to play (aside from deleting their buggy lot and moving in/building them a new house)…this won’t be as “wordy” as my other ones. I really, really can’t remember a lot.

Either way, hooray for purple!

After the baby business I had to get around to making Guy and Sadie fall in love and marry once more. Which wasn’t exactly hard, they are a pretty chemistry-charged couple. We’ve all seen the whole marriage song and dance before with these two, so instead you get a the nifty photo above.

In case you haven’t noticed, taking screens is one of my favorite parts of The Sims 2. That’s why you’ll see weird angles and perspectives and my attempt at making things “cool to look at”. It’s fun for me and here’s hoping you enjoy it, too. The photos kind of tell stories themselves and I can kinda just hang out and narrate in a purely gameplay-esque way.

The toddler years were pretty easy. Sadie had this weird compulsion to constantly read to poor Faith, complete with odd voices. It was cute the first two times, but quickly became VERY annoying. Bad Sadie, stop harassing the toddler! You’re supposed to be a capable autonomous sim!

I don’t really care about toddler clothing/looks. It’s only three days and it isn’t like I’m telling some deeply involving story, so I just don’t bother changing their looks or clothes. Even if they end up in a tux or looking like some half-teddy bear hybrid.

  1. Haha, Mao, I love your commentary. Always very entertaining. You are so right about toddler clothes and ‘dos - why bother changing them? Except that sometimes I just really want a picture of them in something other than that darned bear suit!! Heh. Faith looks really cute (love the glasses) and Sadie is so gorgeous. That last picture is amazing - was it taken with the new card?? At any rate, can’t wait to see the new pics. I’m super envious of your new card, but so glad you got a new computer and are back to blogging. YAHOOO! :-D

  2. Hey Jen, thanks. :D Actually, that was taken with my old card using print screen as opposed to the in-game camera. You’ll notice all LTW shots are of higher quality due to that.
