Generation 5, Part II: One Mean Family Sim

After several relatively boring and uneventful toddler years, Yuri becomes a pretty cute kid. Then again, that’s probably due to the haircut and beauty mark. Hey, his mum had one! I thought it would add character, since all my purple TH’s have black hair, purple skin, and black/brown eyes. The disembodied hands belong to the resident crank, Adam. He’s generally pretty nice to Yuri, and does nothing but flirt, kiss, and make out with Faith… it’s just everyone else that he’s mean to!

Private school is a pretty important thing for the ISBI challenge. Not only does it guarantee your kids won’t come home with a bottomed-out fun bar, but it means they randomly get skill points. Skill points are always nice when you have absolutely no control over the sim and you’re hoping for enough to get them through college without struggling! That’s why I was happy when Yuri was accepted, despite Sadie’s foolhardy attempts to convince the headmaster that the house really is haunted.

Yuri really, really loves to clean… so there’s no issue with cleaning points. He doesn’t bother with anything else skill related, unfortunately. He’s got a cooking point or two from watching TV while Sadie or Guy have control… but once they’re gone, it’s straight to the Kidz Tube.

I’m getting horrible at not catching deaths! It’s all my fault, too. Everyone was sleeping and the game just zoomed right through both Sadie and Guy’s deaths. It was unfortunate… I’ll miss those lovebirds. Of course, that’ll end once their ghosts start endlessly harassing my sims. I expect them to be pretty active given the malice radiating between Adam, Guy, and Sadie.

  1. I love reading about this family. They are so amusing! I’m glad they were saved from computer oblivion. Just one thing - Isn’t Hector some sort of uncle?

  2. You’re right, he is! D’oh! I’m so horrible with family relations… he’s like… a Great, Great Uncle. I’ll change that. Thanks! :)

  3. Wooo, another hilarious update on those wild and crazy Lexes! By the way, I think the name Yuri Lex is impossibly cute, and I also love his hairstyle - where did you get it? Love the phrase “for Wright’s sake!” Classic! Goodbye to Guy and Sadie — geez, I forgot they were elders, they looked so young. I must say you’re doing an excellent job with this challenge - I can never get past 2nd gen with ISBI. Yours is just so much fun to read about. Keep up the great work, and again, your pictures make me drooool!
