Generation 7, Part II: Holy Babies, Maximum Lex Man!

Despite the twins, things didn’t get too chaotic. When I don’t play challenges, I normally have big families anyway. Sure, I can micromanage them then, but it’s really the same essential formula given my playstyle. So things weren’t too hectic while the twins were just wee tots unable to leave their cribs.

Well, unless their grandparents barged in after work and proceeded to hold them until wetting themselves. Yeah, that’s why I don’t unlock the doors. Bad sims, bad! Another change I made was converting the garage into temporary bedrooms with two double beds. The house was only made to hold a maximum of five sims at any given time, so watching all these sims battle over two bathrooms ought to be amusing and frustrating.

Eventually the tiny terrors became toddlers. Unix is the one in pink, Linux is the one wondering who the purple guy is. Poor Yuri, it isn’t easy being the last of the purple!

Being the easily pleased guy that he is, Max was normally in platinum, so smart milk wasn’t hard to come by. The twins learned all three skills with plenty of time to spare. I also allowed them to roam about the house so the others could interact and build relationships with them, as only one child will return to this given house once they grow up/go to University.

Of course, not having chaos at some point was just highly unlikely. I switched over to my laptop to use the random number generator, when all of the sudden, I heard shrieking. After Quinn’s grow up dialogue went away, I saw that the nanny had somehow spontaneously combusted! She was dancing around, shrieking and howling, flames coming off her butt and legs.

I spent a good few seconds laughing so hard I was crying before I had Max try and extinguish the nanny bonfire. This only proved to intensify the humor, as when Max started hitting the nanny full blast with the extinguisher, she was jumping and flailing even more. Eventually the nanny was put out and sent on her way. Unfortunately, the rest of the household had come to witness the nanny fire and were now in dire need of a shower. So for the next several sim hours, a war was waged for the bathrooms.

  1. Eunuch 101? HAHAHA…that rules. Poor Amy. I love the twins, though — Unix and Linux are awesome names. And they’re darned cute! The spontaneously combusting nanny bit was great — sounds like it was hysterical to see it in action. I love those weird random things that happen. Mao, I just adore your blog and your witty writing. And the Lex house is getting gorgeous-er by the minute. As always, looking forward to the next episode!

  2. Hey Mao… I started reading your blog recently and I love it. It is so hilarious seeing what sims will do when you leave them to their own devices. I admire your willpower… I am such a control freak when it comes to my sims… I never let them do anything on their own. I think it’s so cute how your sims are always doing school cheers together. Wow… I can’t believe the nanny caught on fire. That is too funny =).
